Artist’s Statement
The art of weaving is as old as humanity. Since Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, people have needed cloth! From Persian rugs to Indian silk and khadi cloth, every civilization has developed its own unique fibers and patterns. Women, in particular, have made the practical beautiful and the beautiful, practical. My own love of weaving is born out of a lifetime of sewing and knitting garments. I love exploring new ways to use color and fiber to create distinctive pieces that brighten your home and wardrobe. As I create, I connect to weavers throughout time and add my own contribution to the modern American tradition.
